Sunnycrest Animal Care Center Building

Sunnycrest Animal Care Center is located on Bastanchury Road in an area of Sunny Hills designated as “Commercial Greenbelt.” In keeping with the rural character of the surrounding neighborhood, our building was designed to resemble a remodeled barn.

The goal was to preserve the charm and atmosphere of the area while creating a modern, welcoming facility designed around the comfort and care of our patients and clients.

Our spacious, open reception area features ceilings more than 20 feet high and skylights that fill the space with natural light. The bright, airy design creates a welcoming environment for our clients and their pets while also reducing the need for artificial lighting during the day.

Exam Rooms

We have five comfortable, fully equipped examination rooms for outpatient care. They are used for wellness examinations, vaccinations, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up visits, and treatment of many common medical conditions, allowing us to provide efficient, personalized care in a quiet setting.

 Pharmacy

Our on-site pharmacy carries many of the medications commonly prescribed for our patients, allowing treatment to begin right away without making an extra trip to have a prescription filled or waiting for an online order to be processed and shipped.

When a medication is not available on-site, or if you prefer to use another pharmacy, we are happy to work with the pharmacy of your choice whenever possible. Some pharmacies require a written prescription or have their own procedures for accepting veterinary prescriptions, and we will let you know if that applies.

Our computerized system allows us to quickly review your pet’s medication history and provides clear, easy-to-follow instructions on every prescription label.

Our treatment room is a central part of the hospital, where we prepare pets for surgery and perform many diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. It is equipped for electrocardiograms, ultrasounds, dental procedures, minor treatments, and other procedures that require close monitoring and specialized equipment.

Our surgery room is equipped with gas anesthesia, a respirator, defibrillator, CO₂ laser surgery, a Covidien SurgiStat electrosurgical unit for precise cutting and coagulation, pulse oximetry, EKG, blood pressure monitoring, and capnography for continuous end-tidal CO₂ monitoring.

 X-Ray

Our digital radiology system is powerful enough to produce high-quality X-rays of even our largest patients. Because the images are digital, they can be reviewed immediately and, when needed, sent electronically to board-certified radiologists and other specialists for consultation and interpretation.

 Dog Boarding

Our dog boarding area provides comfortable accommodations and attentive care from our experienced staff. The facility is supplied with 100% fresh outside air to help reduce the risk of airborne infection, and skylights provide natural light throughout the day. We feed a nutritious Hill’s diet, and we are also happy to serve food from home if you prefer to provide your dog’s regular diet.

Cat Boarding

Our cat boarding area is located on the second floor, away from the noise of barking dogs, providing a quieter and more relaxing environment for our feline guests. Skylights bring in plenty of natural daylight, and a dedicated kitchen allows our staff to prepare meals and care for each cat’s individual feeding needs.

Cat Kitchen

One of our technician “chefs” preparing a special meal for a boarding guest. We know how particular cats can be about their food, so we encourage you to bring your cat’s favorite diet from home to help make their stay as comfortable as possible.
